Edward Thomas Damron, age 76, of Springboro, Ohio passed away on June 21, 2023 at his residence. He was born January 28, 1947 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late William Thomas and Ellouise Damron (nee Davidson).
Ed served in the United States Army during Vietnam where he earned the Purple Heart, Silver Start, and Bronze Star. After an honorable discharge he served as the commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Chapter 31. Ed worked and retired from General Motors. Ed had a strong personality, and was a friend to many. He also had many talents and could fix or build just about anything. He never knew a stranger and was known to be quite the snappy dresser.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of over 49 years, Sharon Damron in 2023; son, Jeremiah Damron; and brother William Damron.
Ed is survived by daughters, Christy Toriseva, Vanessa Damron, and Katie McDaniel; grandchildren, Chantell Hatfield, Cameron Obrokta, Jake Toriseva, Caige Damron-Kuhn, Shane McDaniel, and Leah McDaniel; great grandchildren, Asa and Ayla Hatfield, Asher and Owen Obrokta, Hadli Toriseva, and Harper Damron-Kuhn; and sister, Betty Ann Arthur.
A visitation for Ed will take place on Friday June, 30 2023 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Home, 40 North Main Street Springboro, Ohio 45066. Funeral service will immediately follow at 4:00 pm. Interment will take place at a later date.
