Edna Marie Kirby, age 91 of Middletown, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015 at the Quaker Heights Nursing Home in Waynesville, Ohio. She was born September 3, 1923 in Middletown, the daughter of Russell Knepshield and Clara Long Knepshield. Edna graduated from Lemon Monroe High School in 1944 and from Dayton School of Practical Nursing in 1970. She liked to sew and cross stitch. Edna was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Harry Kirby in 1995 and a sister, Lahnora Dean Druewy. She is survived by two sons, Dale Kirby of Middletown and Gerald wife, Debora Kirby of Trenton; three brothers, Thomas wife, Marge Knepshield of Wisconsin, Charles wife, Betty Knepshield of West Milton, Ohio and David wife, Linda Knepshield of Florida; a special nephew, Jerry wife, Sharon Parker; four grandsons; a granddaughter; four great granddaughters; and many other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Friday at the Breitenbach McCoy Leffler Funeral Home with Reverend John Wagner officiating.
