Douglas S. Brombaugh Sr; age 77, of West Alexandria, OH; died Tuesday October 20, 2020 at his residence. Douglas was born in Dayton, OH on October 27, 1942 to the late Ezra aka “Junie” and Grace (Evans) Brombaugh. He was a 1961 graduate of Dixie High School New Lebanon. He served in the US Navy for 4 years and was a certified welder with Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local #162. Douglas was an avid outdoors man, hunter, and fisherman. He loved his hunting trips with his brother, David and dear friend, Boyd Tallent. He enjoyed taking his vacation to Aylen Lake in Ontario, Canada. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gail Brombaugh; granddaughter, Ashley Brombaugh; his sister, Judy Gerhard; mothers-in-law, Louise Goode and Wanda Coomer; his fathers-in-law, Dale Goode and Lawrence W. Coomer. Douglas is survived by his wife of 18 years, Carolyn Brombaugh; son, Scott Brombaugh; daughters, Lori Black (Gary Buckles), Aimee (Kevin) Martin, son, Chris Brombaugh, Bradley (Megan) Vaughn, Kyle (Faith) Vaughn; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; his brother-in-law, William "Bill" Gerhard; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday from 11am to 1pm at the Anderson Funeral Home 40 N. Main St Springboro, OH followed by Funeral Services at 1pm with Pastor Chris Cardiff officiating. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery with full military honors.
