Deborah R. Shaffer, age 75, of Franklin, Ohio passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Otterbein of Springboro. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on April 28, 1949, the daughter of the late Jack and Mary (Hill) Rish. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Rish.
Deborah is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Joe Bachert; her grandson, Joseph Bachert; a sister, Rachel Hartz. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Deborah was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who enjoyed to read, crafting, sewing and especially cooking and baking. She touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed.
Celebration of Life Services for Deborah will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the CIty Hope Church, 946 East Lower Springboro Road, Springboro, Ohio 45066. The family will receive visitors at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services on Saturday.
