Loved his quiet, unassuming smile, his love of classical music and was delighted to know that when he worked at the motorcycle shop the music that was played was half the time classical and half the time what others wanted.  

Dave I never actually told you but thank you for always being a kind man a bright reflection of Jesus.  Your knowledge and wisdom and humor will be deeply missed by all.  I loved when you sang Rudolph the crimson proboscussed quadruped.      Thank you for helping me to be a better man.      Tim.

I loved Dave.  He was so very calm and friendly.  He treated everyone with respect and as a friend.  He had a quiet way about him; yet always seemed to engage and make one feel valued.  Those years at West Carrollton Church were some of my most fondest. Being in community with Dave was a blessing to me. You both had an impact on my life and your encouragement has been an influence on my ability to be in ministry.

It seems unreal that Dave has passed away.  Thankful, though, for the hope we have in Jesus — eternal life!

I can still see us all sitting in the pews at WCCN.  Dave was such a caring person.  I love how he made sure his family was always taken care of — including his Mom.

May God’s peace and comfort wash over you and your family as you walk through these difficult days.



I KNEW DAVE FOR 15+ YEARS AND HE WAS THE BEST MOTORCYCLE TECHNICIAN THAT I EVER MET,  AFTER 55 YEARS OF WORKING ON MOTORCYCLES I HAVE SEEN A LOT OF THEM. DAVE WAS ONE OF THE NICEST PEOPLE THAT I EVER MET. NEVER A BAD THING FROM HIM. JUST A WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING. I WILL MISS SPEAKING WITH DAVE. HE WILL BE MISSED IN MY HEART FOREVER.

I so remember his quiet smile and sure sense of himself.  We met him when he first came to Grace Church with Dori.  So many times we interacted and each time was accompanied by that smile and a wisdom beyond his years.  We have not seen him in many years but are so grateful that he was part of our lives.  And we are confident in this, that we shall see him again at another time and place in God's presence.

I am stunned. Dave was the gentle giant, capable and well prepared. I envied his ability to always seem to think before responding. He was always a giving soul and quite a diamond in the rough. Dorie and Kearstin, May Gods comfort reach you and linger well beyond what you need.  May His grace be enough when your questions overflow. May God surprise you in His ability to comfort and calm your soul.  

Dave, you didn’t know it yet you always impressed me. Thanks for helping me with my Yamaha. Least of all questions ..... Are there Harley’s in heaven?
