He was preceded in death by his wife Katherine Wright Jensen after 44 years of marriage, his son Richard Jensen and his 3 siblings Richard Jensen, Phylis Cline and Robert Jensen.
David is survived by his son Robert, daughter-in-law Judy Stefan Jensen, 4 grandchildren-Taylor, Mackenzie, Austin and Sydney.
He received his B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Miami in 1960 and was then selected by Westinghouse for the Graduate Student Program. Following extensive training in engineering, he took a position with the Electronic Systems Group and was involved in the B-70 Bomber Program.
In 1963 he was assigned to the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) where he assisted in the design and testing of navigation satellite ground station receivers and computers for the Polaris submarines. From 1964 through 1968 he began working with the US Navy on submarine and surface ship electronic equipment, following that with the US Marine Corps on Air Surveillance Radars.
In 1976 he began working with the US Air Force on the radar for the F-16 fighter jet and the AWACS radar.
He retired from Westinghouse after 32 years in 1992.
