Darwin worked at AK Steel and retired in 1993. After his retirement he took on a new challenge and became a professional bodybuilder, and in 2006 won 3 awards at the age of 65, beating people 20 years younger than him. He also enjoyed working on cars, camping, fishing, and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his brother Edward Taylor "Eddie" Jr.
Darwin is survived by daughters, Amy (Tracey) Hamilton, and Jennifer Holiga; grandchildren, Luke (Brianna) Hamilton, Ellie (Trace) Sams, Joey (Kaitlyn) Holiga, and Lily Holiga; great grandchildren, Walker, Henry, Sally, and another great grandson on the way.
A graveside service will take place on Tuesday October 15, 2024 at 11:30 am at Woodside Cemetery, 1401 Woodside Blvd., Middletown, Ohio 45044.
