I am so sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. You all have my condolences and sympathy.  
He was a good guy that helped me out big time back in 1990 when he was able to teach watchmaking at Ohio Valley Goodwill while I took a leave of absence for 6 months. He eventually took over the program and taught full time as you well know. I am still very grateful to him for taking on that job in my absence.

We will forever miss you. You were the best great grandpa to Nash & Cricket. You read books to them, let them pick out toys at the flea market, shared snacks with them, took them to Roosters constantly, but most of all loved them endlessly. You were the anchor to the family and will be greatly missed. Until we meet again.

Reflecting in the moment, I am now considering how my grandfather shaped my lunch preferences. Truly, he taught me at an early age that the perfect lunch was a tomato, a block of cheese and an assortment of crackers. If you are feeling fancy… perhaps an apple or grapes to sweeten things up. 

I would not tell you he was a man that appreciated a fancy cheese plate. However, I would tell you that he was a man with the soul of a man that appreciated a fancy cheese plate. Instead of a fussy spread it was simple, comfortable, and satisfying. 

I have fond memories of quiet lunches like this with him. Others, perhaps, have bad memories of him teaching me how to eat it all just using the knife used for cutting the vegetables and cheeses. 

Every-time I take a moment like this for myself I think back on those moments with him. And for the curious; Yes, I eat it using the single knife to this day.

I met Chuck in 2001 at my first watch and clock show . Chuck took me under his wing, as he did others , and helped me learn  about watches and clocks
He was a true friend and mentor. I will greatly miss him

Dad was always so thoughtful and gave us amazing interesting gifts that were weird and wonderful.

Chuck was a business and personal friend . We had often worked together, assisting each other in clock repairs, but more so we often shared experiences of our experiences in china. Chuck could speak alot of chinese, so we often conversed in mandarin. 
Although he was ill, he still found time to talk with us at the clock meetings. We will miss you Chuck.
