Bobby Dale Scearce Sr., age 82, passed away peacefully at Walnut Creek Nursing Center on Sunday, July 11th at 10:38p.m. He was a loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather and Great-grandfather. Bob was born in Franklin, Ohio, on December 19, 1938 to the late William “Blue” and Grace (Slaton) Scearce. He attended Case Western Reserve University and Cincinnati University, achieving most notably a PHD in Physics and as well a degree in Law.
Bob worked at Armco, Monsanto, Wright Patterson Air Force Base and practiced law in Franklin and Warren counties.
He had a life long love of music, playing the trumpet in high school, college, area bands and orchestras. His love of golf has carried on to his sons and grandchildren. Many days he could be found personally coaching and showing support by walking countless area golf courses. Besides music and golf, his hobbies included running and biking competing in many biatholons and triatholons.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his step children, Craig and Renee.
He leaves behind a wife of 48 years, Ruth Ann (Vaughn) Scearce; two sons, Bobby Jr (wife, Tonia), and Dylan; sister, Violet; brother, Bill (wife, Melodye); many Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, friends, and loved ones that will miss him very much.
A graveside service will be held at Woodhill Cemetery in Franklin, Ohio on Aug 7th at 11:00am.
