Betty Childers, age 84 , of Middletown, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Garden Manor Extended Care Center. Betty was born in Blue Diamond, KY on April 11, 1932 to Charlie and Ruth ( Adkins) Combs.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Philip, a son, Phillip (Buddy) E. Childers, her parents and a grandchild. Betty is survived by four daughters, Carolyn (Harold) Parker, Sandra (Barry) Paugh, Donna (John) Pence, and Linda (Andy) Stafford, 3 sons, James D. Childers, Joey L. Childers, and Michael S. (Terina) Childers, 16 siblings, 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 11:00 am at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 S. Sutphin Street Middletown with Pastor Ed Peyton officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial in Woodside Cemetery.
