Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel 1101 Main Street Franklin, LA. Burial will follow in the Pecot Street Cemetery.

Rickey leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Antoinette Darby Smith of Franklin, Louisiana; his parents, Pastor Rickey Smith, Sr. and Bevelyn Carson Smith of Franklin, Louisiana; two sons, Jaylen Darby and Justin Richardson, Jr., both of Franklin, Louisiana; a daughter, E'Nyria Darby of Franklin, Louisiana; his grandfather, James Carson, Jr.; two brothers, Larry James Smith, Sr. of Franklin, Louisiana and Deddrick Conner of Santa Monica, California; along with a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Larry Smith Sr. and Rose Mary Smith; maternal grandmother, Mattie Carson; his mother-in-law, Geneva Darby; father-in-law, Don W. Williams; and two brothers-in-law, Donnell Darby and Jean Paul.
