Born in Hartford, CT, the daughter of Evelyn and Stanley Randall, Jean spent her childhood years in Bedford, MA. After her mother’s death, she was raised with love by her stepmother, Kathy. Jean graduated from Bedford High School, where she remained active in reunion planning, and then the University of Connecticut.
Jean is survived by her husband, Lee, and their sons, Jeffrey, and wife, Jo-Ellen (Paradise) of Pound Ridge, NY and Christopher and wife, Emily (Eng), of Boston, MA; by two adoring grandchildren, Mia and Nicholas; and her father, Stanley Randall, and wife, Marjorie, of Riverside, CA. She is also survived by her brother, Steve, and wife, Karan, of Concord, NH; her brother, Paul, and companion, Eileen Conneely, of Rock City Falls, NY; her sister, Pam (Randall) Pollard, and husband, Fred, of Bethel, CT; her aunt, Marie Randall of East Brunswick, NJ, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. She is predeceased by her stepmother, Kathy, and her sister, Peggy Randall.
Jean’s professional life was dedicated to early childhood development, where she served as Director of the Temple Beth Shalom Nursery School, Framingham; and Director of the Child Care Connection, Worcester. She was involved in the early years of Work-Family Directions, focusing on employee resource and referral programs for large corporations and subsequently served as Director of Product Management for Ceridian, Boston. Jean leaves countless close friends from her years in the industry. Throughout her life, Jean devoted herself to her family and friends and always welcomed them into her home and heart. She was able to see the best qualities in each person she knew. She often said she counted her blessings and not her problems in life. She was a loving inspiration to many and will be deeply missed.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 1, from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Wadsworth-Chiappini Funeral Home, 318 Union Avenue, Framingham. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 2, at Plymouth Church, 87 Edgell Road , Framingham, at 11 AM. Burial at Dell Park Cemetery, Natick.
