Longtime Framingham resident.
Helen passed away peacefully on Nov. 3 at Sudbury Pines Extended Care, where she resided for the past few years.
Helen was the wife of the late Joseph T. Dwyer and was predeceased by numerous sisters and brothers. She was also predeceased by a son, Joseph T. Dwyer Jr. and the age of 8 in a tragic drowning accident in 1947.
Helen is survived by her son, Stephen Dwyer, of Marlboro; daughter, Carolyn “Pixie” DeVany of Leominster; 2 grandchildren, Thomas J. DeVany of Bremerton, WA, Corinne Bowie of Bloomfield, CT; 3 great-grandchildren, Aiden DeVany, Taylor and James Bowie.
She formerly resided on Granite Street in Framingham and the Framingham Green for many years. She was a devoted mother to her “Angel Boy”, Stephen, and was actively involved in helping him throughout her life. She was a strong supporter of Boy Scouts Troop 2 and assisted in scoring for Stephen’s bowling league in Framingham for several years. Helen enjoyed gardening and taking photos of Stephen and her garden. She will be remembered for her gentle and quiet manner and will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
Funeral services will be private.
