She was employed as a bookkeeper for Tony Franchi at Franchi Construction Company. Debbie was a kind and intelligent soul. She loved to go on walks and take in all nature had to offer during each season. She could be at home walking with friends or off on a beach island, picking up shells on vacation with her husband Jim. Love of nature was one of her many hobbies including flowers, trees, birds, and all animals, but especially cats. Debbie would light up and laugh as she talked of her many hobbies with friends and family. She wanted to know all about each of them. These range from above mentioned to music that spanned generations, Spode Christmas China, Stamp Collecting, Harmony Kingdom, Harmony Gardens, Adam Binder, Laurel Burch, gemstones, and making jewelry. She loved to crochet, play board games and cards, Sudoku and puzzles, anything that she could sharpen her mind on. She kept up with the Red Sox, Patriots, golf, and all the players. She rarely missed Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy and often beat the competition. She was full of knowing smirks, smiles, and laughter that we will miss every day. We miss you and love you.
She is survived by her husband James G. "Jim" Valentine of Framingham, MA, her mother Catherine "Kaye" A. Desmond of Acton, MA, her stepdaughter Jamee Valentine and her family of Weatherford, OK, and her stepson James S. Valentine of Sutton, MA. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth A. Desmond.
The family will be holding a celebration of her life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, family and friends may make donations to the ASPCA at:
