Vito “Vic” Colletti November 18, 1933- October 16, 2024 Vito “Vic” Colletti passed away peacefully at his home on October 16, 2024. Vito was born November 18, 1933, to Vincenzo “Jimmy” and Rafaela (Fazzio) Colletti in Manhattan, New York. After the death of his mother at the age of two, relatives helped raise him until his father remarried Mary (Castiglia) and they moved to Pueblo, CO. He married Diane (Lynch) September 7, 1963.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Diane, his brother Frank Colletti, and son-in-law Scott Morrison. He is survived by his children Gina (Mark) Salamon, Rene’ (Vince) Eastlake, Dana (Scott) Huntsman, and Autumn Morrison; his grandchildren David (Tara) Huntsman, Derek Huntsman, Tera (Matt) Rainier, Amanda Eastlake, Heather Eastlake, Genevieve Morrison, and Rowan Morrison; and great grandchildren Sterling and Ella (Derek), Forrest and Beckham (David) and Kamryn(Tera). He has numerous surviving relatives in both the United States and Italy.
Vito was a friend to everyone he ever met and a mentor to too many to count. He enjoyed theatre, working in his yard and garage while smoking a cigar, traveling back to Italy to spend time with his family, and handing out $2.00 bills. He was active in the Knights of Columbus and the Italian-American Club and was proud of his military service. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 23 at Dove-Witt Funeral Home at 5:00 pm followed by a rosary at 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 24 at 11:00 am at St. Dominic’s Catholic church in Fountain. Burial at Fairview Cemetery in Fountain followed by a reception.
