Passed away on May 22, 2014 at the age of 81
Vic was born in Chippewa Falls, WI. March 22, 1933.
He was the 1st of 4 children of Margret and Victorian J. Levesque. He is survived by his wife Gloria, 2 sisters: Jean and Gloria, a brother Jim, daughter Denise Janes (Paul), son Steven LeVesque (Mary), stepson Lance Garcia (Cindy), nieces and nephews , 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Vic was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sons Victorian Anthony and Andrew James.
Vic was an avid rock hound, explorer, photographer, gardener and nature lover. In 1951 Vic graduated High school from Kent Meridian in Kent, WA. Then attended Seattle University where he taught the ROTC program and started his military career. In 1956 after basic training he was transferred all around: Hawaii, Kentucky, Maryland, Korea, Turkey, Washington, Vietnam, Taiwan and Colorado. After a very distinguished 23 year career and several commendations he retired as Lt. Colonel. After retirement he and Gloria travelled extensively across the country and abroad visiting friends and family. He continued to perfect his gardening skills and his love of photography. He was known to some as “the bean king” and always had some of the most beautiful flowers and the pictures to prove it. Vic also immersed himself into researching genealogy and traced his lineage back to the 1600’s. He spent countless hours emailing and searching various people and records to complete his family tree.
If you needed help Vic was always there to lend a hand or give direction. He was an inspiration to those that knew him, respected by all he encountered, loved and appreciated by his friends and family, He will be truly missed.
Visitation is on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 5:00 - 8:00 pm and Funeral Thursday June 5 at 11:00 am at Dove Witt FamilyMortuary.
Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery, in Arlington, Virginia.
