Sharon Vann

Sharon Rae Vann, age 67, a resident of Fountain, Colorado since 1999, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, and sister. Sharon was born on May 31, 1955, in Medford, Oregon to Robert and Donna Johnston (Spencer). She grew up in Oregon and went on to serve honorably in the United States Army. She met and married Eugene “Kent” Vann in 1985. Sharon then left the Army to help grow Kent’s career and be a supportive wife and mother to their family. The following year she adopted his children Holly and Christopher, while he adopted her son Bryon. In 1987 they welcomed their own child, Danielle. She will be best remembered for the love and support she gave her family. Sharon is survived by her children: Bryon Vann of Fountain, CO; Holly Vann of Colorado Springs, CO; Christopher Vann of Atlanta, GA; and Danielle Atchley of Fountain, CO; her mother; and her two siblings. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Michayla, Rose, Alex, William, Zoie, Kaylee, Paisley, Charles, Cullen, and Bentley, and her great-grandchildren Parker and Teagahn. Sharon was preceded in death by her father Robert Johnston, her brother, Kenneth Johnston; and her husband, Eugene Kent Vann. Services will be held at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary on January 25, 2023, located at 6630 South US Highway 85/87 in Fountain. The viewing will be at 9 am, funeral service will begin at 11 am with a reception to follow.
