Robert was born December 13th, 1943 to Celia (Silva) Campos and Rudolph Campos in Torrington, Wyoming
He was preceded in death by his mother, Celia.
Robert attended school in Casper, Wyoming. He joined the Casper Troopers Drum and Bugle Corp during junior high and that became a huge part of his life. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1962.
He attended Casper College part time while continuing to travel with the drum corp.
In 1966 Robert was drafted to the Army and stationed at Ft. Carson. He served in Korea and was honorably discharged in 1968.
He married Jeanne (Chaon) wife of 50 years on March 25th, 1967. After leaving the Army he attended Southern Colorado Collage (CSU Pueblo) graduating in the spring of '71 with a B.S. in Biology. Robert went on to receive his masters degree in counseling from Adams State College in 1982.
Robert started his career as an educator for School District 11 at West Jr. High. From there he taught biology and coached wrestling at Doherty High School for many years. He finished his career as Dean of Student Services at Russell Middle School retiring in 2004.
In September of 2004 Robert started working at CMHIP (Pueblo State Hospital) as a part time teacher until his death.
During his free time, Robert volunteered for the Widefield Community Center coaching his grandchildren in every sport possible.
Robert is survived by his wife Jeanne, three daughters Dr. Monica Campos, Adria Campos and Danielle Campos (Clarence Duran), grandchildren Dillon 15, Desirae 11, Payton 10 and Ryder 4 all of Colorado Springs. His Father Rudolph, sisters Carolyn (Larry) Romero, Denver and Rey (Russell) Young, Ellicot, nieces Rhonda, Vanessa, and Alisa and Nephew Larry Jr.
Roberts pride and Joy was his family. He especially doted on his grandkids. After family was the Broncos.
Services will be held at 2pm on Friday September 1st at Pikes Peak Christian Church 4955 Bradley Rd., Colorado Springs, CO.
