Linda Jean Million, 83, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2022, at home with her family by her side. She was born in Las Animas, Colorado on February 17, 1939, to Tim and Marian (Palmer) McChesney. She graduated from Las Animas High School in 1957.
In addition to being a loving mother, Linda was crucial to the family farm where she cared for and doctored animals, hauled livestock, fixed fences and handled whatever came up. In spite of the hectic ranch life, Linda made time to be the Avon lady and drive the school bus.
After the kids were grown, Linda went to work in town where she found her natural calling in home health care for seniors. She truly shined in assisting the elderly and was often assigned to the most difficult clients. Linda saw good in everyone and was always able to find a key to make a new friend and provide excellent care.
Linda loved being a mother and grandmother. When the grandkids were small, weekend visits usually entailed a trip to the movies and a stop at the dollar store on the way home so they could pick out a small toy of their choice.
Linda had a huge love for animals; whether fuzzy, furry or feathered.
Linda is survived by: Son: Blaine (Nina) Million of Colorado Springs, CO, Son: Shawn (Christine) Million of Fountain, CO, Daughter: Gina Conklin of Peyton, CO, Son: Justin Million of Peyton, CO, Brother: Nick (Jean) McChesney of Longmont, CO, 7 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Honoring Linda’s request, there will be no public service held.
