CW3(R) Jessie H. Brumley

Jessie is survived by his wife, Mary Brumley (Franklin), his children Sharon, Derek, Brent (Andy), Crystal, 15 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents William and Ruth, his brothers Billy, Jeff, and Wyman.

Jessie was born in Phoenix AZ, on March 27, 1952. After high school he enlisted into the US Army in which he served for 20 years. First working with ground to air defense, then becoming a Drill Sergeant at Ft. Sill for 2 years. He then was accepted to Warrant officer school to become a Huey pilot. Upon graduating from W.O.C. he was stationed at Ft Sill, OK, where he served as a Meda-vac pilot for 4 years. He once again went back to Ft Rucker to become a Blackhawk pilot and safety officer. His next adventure was to go to Camp Casey, South Korea. After returning from being part of the B TRP 4/7 Cavalry unit in Korea he was stationed at his final active-duty assignment at Ft Irwin, CA, flying Meda-Vac once again with the 247th Med. After retiring from the Army, he spent his next 18 years as Airfield Manager at Ft. Irwin. His final job was working Civil Service for the 71st ORD GRP(EOD) at Ft Carson, CO for 11 and half years. Most definitely his favorite job because he got to work with his wife Mary.

Jessie was a devoted father and husband; family was everything to him! He enjoyed playing golf more than anything else! He had a silent confidence that he could figure out how to do anything, this was exemplified by getting his Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration in 2015. He loved traveling with his wife Mary, the love of his life. He was the always there to talk to about anything and everything and never judged, just listened. Very humble and modest, never talked about his achievements/experience unless he was asked about them. He loved to take his grandchildren and great grandchildren fishing. I must mention his love for old country and westerns movies and his respect for John Wayne! He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
