Janet Carol Oden

Janet Carol (Clark) Oden 69, of Fountain, Colorado, passed away at 8:30 P.M. Sunday December 19, 2021 at her home in Fountain. She was the eldest of 7 children, was born April 19,1952 in Rochester, IN to the late Jack L. and Barbara J. Clark.

Janet met and married her high school sweet Jack Edward Oden in June 1970. To their union was born their one and only child daughter, Michelle, in 1981. Life was and adventure and amazing for them as they began their lives together. As the Oden family lived abroad in Germany and other duty stations during Jack's 22-year Army career, they were afforded an opportunity of a lifetime, experiencing other countries and cultures during his service to the United States of America.

In addition to raising their daughter and supporting Jack from duty station and deployments, Janet began working for the Army Civil Service after making Fountain, CO their forever home in 1981. Sadly, her beloved Jack passed away in 1998 after declining health issues. Janet continued her career until retirement in 2020 Janet devoted her time and resources to Army personnel and her daughter's Naval career as well. She volunteered with various organizations which included the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), her Church, hosted several years International Students from abroad as they perused their education here in America.

Some of Janet's hobbies included participating in the Red Hat Society meetings and social functions, Bingo, crafting projects and home decorating.

Janet lived a fulfilled life as she would have it, still even during her brief but trying illness Janet still made her contribution to others, then on Sunday, December 19, 2021 Janet took her earthly flight to Heaven to be with the Lord.

Survivors include her daughter, Michelle (husband Donald) Rairigh, Jonesborough, TN. Brothers: Jack L. (preceded her in death) his surviving spouse Sandra Clark, Rochester, IN. Mike (wife Cindy) Fulton, IN. Steven Clark and girlfriend Susan, Mountain Pine, AR, Mark Clark,South Bend, IN ., Brian Clark and girlfriend Susan, Rochester, IN. Sister: Pam (husband Angelo) Mantijo, Philadelphia, PA.

Grandchildren, Thomas Rairigh Alcoa, TN and Angela Rairigh Jonesborough, TN. and several nieces and nephews. And dearest devoted friend Marie.

Funeral services will be conducted at 9am Tuesday, January 11, 2021 at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, Fountain, CO. Burial following immediately at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO. Online condolences may be expressed at
