Eddie Maldonado

Eddie was born June 29, 1981 to Francisco Maldonado and Lucia Correa in Delano, CA. Eddie was raised in RICHGROVE, CA and the surrounding cities in California where he lived most of his life before moving to Colorado Springs, CO.

Eddie was preceded in death by his mother Lucia Maldonado (6/8/2024) and brother Fernando Maldonado (5/26/2021).

Eddie is survived by his wife Nancy Maldonado, his father Francisco Maldonado, his siblings Lori (Victor), Francisco, Rafael (Jackie) and Joel Maldonado. His children Eduardo Jr, Cheyenne (Joseph), Genesis (Hondo), Luis Cesar, Adrian, Gabriela and Matthew Maldonado. His grandchildren Desiree Maldonado, Jaylina, Joseph Trujillo and Yelitza Martinez. His nieces and nephews Amanda, David Jr, Noel, Dalila, Francisco III, Ezmarie, Alberto, Julian, Fernando Jr, Elijah, Rafael Jr, Ana Lucia, Santiago, Lily, Zyra, Yaretzi, Isabella and Fernando. His mother in law Carmen Gutierrez (whom he loved as a mother) his “Favorite Cuñada” (as he would say) Maricela Gutierrez, his brother Rito Gutierrez (whom he shared a special love with). His “adopted brothers” Mike Avalos, Marcus Garcia, Joseph Flores (he had 3 words for you guys).

Eddie will be remembered by the bone crushing hand shakes and hugs he gave, the bites that everyone feared, yet enjoyed at the same time, his big laugh, his silliness, as he always had a quick comeback for anything you would say, his dance moves with family, friends and even strangers, the advice he would give to the people he loved the most and wanted to see them succeed in life. Eddie had a big heart for anyone that was sincere, he always made time for anyone in need.
