Debra Ann Adragna: She was born June 17, 1954 in Roswell, New Mexico. Her parents were Fred and Margie Sallee who she loved so much. Her brother was Freddie who passed away a number of years ago. His passing was very terrible for Debbie and all her family. Her sisters are, Sandy, Cheri, and Cindy. They all have helped Debbie and supported her in so many ways. She was so thankful for her sisters and she loved them so much.
Debbie grew up in the Security and Widefield area. She went to Talbott Elementary; Watson Junior High and graduated from Widefield High school. She was a hard worker and worked cleaning rooms at the Nevada Hotel and then worked at Target as a cashier while she was still in high school. She did something else before she graduated high school….she married Pat Adragna; March 19, 1972 while she was a Senior in high school. Later that year she went to Long Beach California to meet her husband coming back from Viet Nam. They lived in Long Beach for a year and then they moved to Whidbey Island WA until 1974. In February of 1974 they moved back home to Colorado Springs and Debbie began to work with Colorado Interstate Gas Company and they bought their first home in Widefield. After eleven years of marriage she had her first son, Ryan Patrick Mariono and her life was changed forever. He was born August 25, 1983. She stopped working and stayed home full time. Her second son, Casey Loyd was born July 6, 1985 and her daughter, Haley Jo was born December 3, 1987. Her life was all about being a wonderful mother to her three children and being a loving wife to her husband and also working as a Sunday school teacher at Security Christian Church until November 1993. In 1990 she started Widefield Child Care in her home so that she could help children; make some extra money; and also be with her own children at the same time. In 1993 her and her family moved to Hanover where she worked with her husband at Hanover Community Church. On August 15, 2009 her first grandchild, Reese Bronlyn Millar was born and her life was changed forever again. Her second grand child, Adysen Grace Millar was born June 23, 2011. Her third grandchild, Cobie Lee Adragna was born on August 4, 2015. On September 18, 2015 her fourth grandchild, Ezra Tyler Adragna was born, and on September 28, 2017 her fifth grandchild Casen Rex Joseph Adragna was born. She loved her children of course, but her grandchildren brought her a whole new level of joy in her life and she lived for when she was able to be with them. She also continued to operate her day care center until September of 2015 when she developed Charcot of the foot and became disabled. After that there were a number of times in the hospital, surgeries, and too numerous to count; doctor’s appointments; and then in 2018; dialysis, but Debbie remained focused on her family and stayed active with her husband, continuing to enjoy life such as going out to eat; going to the movies; birthday parties for her children and grandchildren, and just going for rides in the mountains. The rules she lived by were simple: Trust God in everything; never say no to your children and one more; if your children are healthy, you don’t have any problems. She loved life; she loved the Lord and lived her life for Him and also loved her family and she went to sleep on Thursday, August 20, 2020 and woke up the next morning in Heaven. Her family loves her so much and they miss her more than life itself. Their peace comes from the knowledge of knowing that right now she has a brand new spiritual body and is in Heaven with the Lord. All who loved her are invited to come to the services to be held on Saturday, September 12th, 2020 at Pikes Peak Christian Church. Social distancing will be observed to keep everyone as safe as possible.
