On June 1, 1957, she married the love of her life, Jose (Claude) Holguin in Pueblo, CO. They were married for 39 years before Claude’s passing in 1996. She had a good life and being a military wife meant frequent moves. She traveled to 9 countries and 14 or more states with her family. In 1974, Claude retired from the Air Force, and they settled in Fountain, CO. She called it home for 50 years.
She is survived by her children, Rita Starling (Robert), Gerald Holguin, Susan Osborne, Nancy Hernandez and Teresa Dolak (Jeff). She had 9 grandchildren, Cora Hoffman, Joseph Osborne (Maira), Sarah Monteleone (Gregory), Andrew Holguin, Steve Starling, Gabriel Hernandez, Chelsie Cincotta (Tony), Claudia Dolak and Serena Dolak; 4 great grandchildren, Nyree Hoffman, November Hoffman, Kaiden Oliver and Tatum Cincotta; and 1 great-great grandchild, Eliana Hoffman. She also leaves behind 4 sisters, 3 brothers and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband Claude Holguin, her son Steve Holguin, her parents Alfonso and Marcelina Naranjo and her brother David Naranjo.
Connie had a passion for life. She loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed fishing and camping (if you want to call the cabin camping). She enjoyed the thrill of gambling in Cripple Creek. She always came home a winner. She was an avid supporter of the Denver Broncos and waited all year for football season to start. She loved dancing and singing to Mexican music. In her younger years, she liked roller skating, bowling, bingo and even snow tubing.
She was a qualified lifeguard and taught her kids to swim. She was Girl Scout troop leader to her daughters. She was a little league baseball coach to her sons. She was a teen club chaperone so she could keep an eye on her kids. She was also a Sunday School teacher at Holy Family Catholic church in Security, CO. She loved all her family.
Connie was a wonderful mother and grandmother. We will miss her guidance, her spirit, warm smile and sense of humor (mom jokes). She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know her. She was Blessed to have so much family to love and care for her. She has gone to be with the Lord. May her soul rest in peace.
