Ashley Paige Thompson

Ashley Paige Thompson, Beloved wife and mother, passed away May 9th 2021 surrounded by her family in their home in Colorado Springs, CO. She was born in Winfield Illinois, Dec 10 1974; fifth of seven children born to the late Robert and Julie Baumgartner. Ashley graduated from Kaneland Highschool in 1993. After graduation, she attended University of Illinois where she studied environmental law.

Ashley worked for many years in the mortgage industry, becoming a subject matter expert in the field; she used her knowledge and influence to train and build up those around her. Her true passion however was serving God, which she did in every facet of her life. Ashley’s memory will be carried on by her husband Drew, loving son Nathan, and siblings: Megan, Lara, Sean, Courtney and Adam. As well as a host of wonderful nieces and nephews.

Ashley’s impact in her community was born from a desire to serve God; this led her to invest her time and energy into a multitude of others. She served as a mentor, friend, and leader in different areas. Ashley ran with deep passions, often dragging others along with her as she lived with zeal. She was a super nerd when it comes to Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and exploring bookstores. She loved to play boardgames but hated to lose. She loved her friends and family with a ferocity that is unparalleled, protecting those around her with the same intensity with which she lived her life. The impact that Ashley has had on those around her will be felt until Heaven is rolled back like a scroll.
