My  name  is  Mark  Sandmann. Winfrey  was  my  union  committe representative  at  Lockheed Martin  from  03/31/2003 to  10/31/2005  after  I  was  laid  off. I  was  unable  to  return  on  recall due  to  a  stroke  I  suffered  on  12/22/2006. I  stayed  in touch  with  Winfrey  by  telephone until  I recently  heard  of  her  passing. I  and  my friend  at  Lockheed  Martin Richard  Lytle had  a  lot  of  fun  working  with   Wimpy!

Even though I hadn't seen her in many years, Winfrey was one of those rare individuals impossible to forget. I always had a great deal of respect for her. My heart-felt condolences to all of her family she left behind. No doubt she will be watching over each and every one until you are together again. Mom...I'm lost. I don't know what to do. You have been a part of my every day for a long time. What do I do now? I can't just drop in anytime I want or need to anymore.Going to your house the other day was very hard and very strange. It's the first time I have ever felt uncomfortable. I couldn't wait for the hot summer days and being in the pool. I love summer. For many years I have tried to do whatever you wanted or needed done...Mowing, building a lean-to, tending to the cars, how many times did I try to clean and organize the garage??  At Christmas I'd work on getting your lights working til my fingers were raw. I did many things and I enjoyed doing them for you. 'Cause when I did good and it made you happy you'll never know how good it made me feel. I felt you needed me, and it felt good. Coming over and just being with you made me feel close to you again, I loved it. I miss you so much.It hurts so bad.I know that you aren't in any more pain and aren't constantly fighting for a breath of air, but that doesn't ease my pain or feeling like I'm all alone, not knowing what to do or where to go.   Mom, you were the strongest, smartest, greatest, generous, hardheaded, determined woman I know. You could take one look at me and know if something was wrong ( the only other person that can do that is Karen ) no one else ever noticed. Just you knowing made me feel better at once because I knew there was someone who cared about me. Thank you for knowing me and loving me--and letting me love you. I don't know how to go on without you..Everyone says it will get better. Seems like it is getting worse to me. I miss you. I hope I find my way soon. I love you and it hurts so bad.Everything is  completely different. Way different. Can't wait to be with you again....

Condolences to Gwen & family over the loss of your Mother Winfrey. Such a sweet & kind lady she was & she will be sorely missed.

My condolences to Wimpy's family.  Wimpy and I were close friends.  She use to stop by the office and we had our laughs and gossips. She was a Committeeperson for a good number of years and was a very active member of her IAM LL776-B. She will certainly be missed, but will remain in my thoughts.

Oh Mama. I miss you so much. What am I going to do without you? I can hear you telling me "Don't cry." You're my mom, my rock, my strength, my housemate and the glue that kept us together. I know you're with the boys now and having a great reunion with everyone. You can finally rest and get that deep breath you struggled for. I love you and please watch over us. Knowing I will see you again in Heaven is comforting. The good Lord received a strong Angel when he called you to your Eternal Home. Please visit me in my dreams.
