Willie Mae was born to S.B. & Pearl Johnson Wallace in the community of Bethlehem (Gilmer TX.). She was the eighth of ten children. She attended Bethlehem Elementary School and graduated from the Valley View High School (Gilmer TX)., also graduated from Bishop College. She started her teaching career in the state of Mississippi and later continued that career in Fort Worth, Texas
She accepted Christ at an early age where she joined Community of Bethlehem Church (Gilmer, TX).
She later met and married Norman Fagan on September 10, 1953, and moved to Fort Worth TX, and to this union, one child was born.
While in Fort Worth she joined the True Light Baptist Church and remained a member until her death. She worked in the Sunday School department and was a faithfully usher.
She enjoyed teaching preschool, kindergarten and 1st grade, until her retirement in 2001. After retirement, she spent her time at Fellowship Corner Senior Center, where she sang with the choir and participated in various activities.
She was preceded in death by husband, Norman Fagan. Her parents, 5 brothers; Luther, York, Eddie, John, and Spencer Wallace, 2 Sisters, Jessie Mae Carlisle, and Gussie Faye Davis Nix.
She leaves behind her daughter, Christia Pearl Fagan, 2 sisters: Dr. Pearlia Mae Derrick (Johnnie B) of Tyler TX and Rev. Dora Lee Jones of Dallas TX.
A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Special caregivers: Mary Holt, Joyce Cooper, Carole Hicks and Joyce Shelby.
