William Charles (Bill) Zimmerman, of Fort Worth, TX, peacefully left this world to join our Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven on Thursday, December 1, 2022. He is survived by Maureen (his wife of 62 years), his daughter Deborah, his son Gary, and his son-in-law Mike, his brother Jerry, his sisters Carol, Ruth, and Jane, his four grandchildren, Nicholas, Colleen, Brandon, and Donyell, as well as several great grandchildren.
He was born in Waukesha Wisconsin on December 6, 1934. Had a long career as a construction laborer and was in the Laborers International Union of North America. He was a member of the US Army as an Artillery man, and served in both the United States of America and Germany.
A devout Christian, he had a passion for studying the Bible, and attended Wedgwood Baptist Church for many years. His hobbies included photography, feeding the birds, and making a Fun Page that he loved to spend each week creating then would both email and personally deliver his to many people who looked forward to receiving Bill’s homemade publication.
Bill was loved by many people. He never met a stranger and would converse with everyone, everywhere. If anyone needed a helping hand, he generously gave what he had be it labor, material things, or advice and refused to accept praise for anything he did. One of his policies was that you never loan out anything you can’t afford to lose and if you can loan something, if paid back, fine…if not, that’s fine too because people are always, always more important than money or things.
