Service: 12:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gateway Church "Bill Montgomery Memorial."
Bill was born March 18, 1944, in Independence, Kan. He graduated from the University of North Texas with a B.A. and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with an MRE. After pastoring in churches in Texas and Oklahoma, Bill started New Covenant Church in Hurst. Eventually the call on his heart for training pastors around the world led him to start Bread of Life International and focus on mission work.
He loved antique collectibles and never met a garage sale he didn't like. He enjoyed being PaPa to his grandkids. When together their favorite parting words were, "see you in the funny papers."
Survivors: Sandra, his wife of 52 years; son, Wes and his wife, Sherry; daughter, Kim Hassell and her husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Micah and Jacob Montgomery, Alex and Madison Griffin.
