Mike and I visited with Pat on a fairly regular basis at TDA's Core East 3 group.  When he would answer the phone it always brought a smile to our face.  He was fun to visit with, and always very helpful.  We enjoyed having him as our 'go-to' guy at TDA.  He took good care of his advisors, which we appreciated so much.  We are saddened to know he is no longer present with us, but his memory lives on in our hearts.  We miss our kind and pleasant friend.

When I think of my cousin Pat, I think of how he, like his mother Margaret, was someone I could always depend on to update me on the lives of our extended family members.  My siblings and I grew up overseas and had little opportunity to get to know our cousins.  But Pat and Donnie were ones we got to spend the most time with and came to know the best when we came to the States;  his brother Mark at that time (like my brother Mark) was so much younger and only a toddler.  As others have mentioned, Pat was always kind, patient, and generous; he will be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Pat for 7 years and watched him grow through his career! He started as my favorite person in the Mail room, to mailing transfer paper work, to becoming an RM on my team. He was always such a pleasure to work with, eager to learn and always had the best can do attitude. Nothing caused him to light up more than talking about his family, and how quickly those close to him became apart of that! We had our little work family for those of us that had been on CE3 for a while and we always had a good laugh. He also held his advisors very near and dear to his heart.

I will never forget when he was planning his anniversary trip to drive the California coast and how excited he was for it! He was such a great guy and so caring! He was one you could always count on and he always put forth his best effort. 

He will definitely be missed! My condolences to his family! 

As a youngster I spent my most memorable times with Pat, his brothers and wonderful parents during summer vacations at the farm in Brenham, TX - swimming, fishing, and chasing armadillos and other "guy stuff".  On several weekends I stayed over at the Furman house to help fold and throw newspapers at 4 a.m.   Pat and I enjoyed a laugh  whenever we ganged up to torture his older brother, who seemed to (sort-of?) enjoy it too.

You see, Pat inherited 3 lines of Scottish, Irish, and Norse Kings in his ancestry one of whom sheltered in the Scottish Castle (shown in the YouTube video below) during the winter of 1306-1307.

I love you Cousin Pat, until I see you again.



Me and my team worked with Pat over the last 5 years.   Before talking about work, he was always pleasant to "catch up" with.  Especially during Covid.   Whenever he answered the phone, his warm and friendly voice was a  always a treat.  Pat was a constant professional and a pleasure to chat with. 

My heart breaks for his family and friends.  Someone I'll definitely miss.  Prayers sent for healing and love.
 

Sending many prayers of peace and comfort to those near and dear to him.  It was an honor to have worked with Pat for several years at TDA. He was a man of great character. I especially enjoyed the delivery of smiles throughout some of those long workdays. 

Pat you will truly be missed my sweet friend. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. Just sitting close to you, listening to your calming voice and funny stories always brightened my day. Oh goodness...so sorry to hear of this.  Christy,  you are in my thoughts and prayers.  I remember all my  work days with Pat and the sometimes treacherous drive that we made on the bad weather snow days to get to the job we both loved so much.  You were the sparkle in his eyes...and always enjoyed having you guys as neighbors for the 12 years I lived around the corner.

Pat was introduced to our firm by Scott Johnson and Scott assured me that Pat would be our go to man and take care of us.

He was more than right.  For more than 7 years  Pat has been in daily contact with our  office.  Ever  patiently answering questions, moving our requests through  the maze and assisting in all our requests.
His charm, wit, and family stories will be missed but mostly I will miss the moments  we would sing the  songs of  our teen years together.  
 Pat is  one of a kind and is missed….daily 




Pat became part of our tribe in 1989 when he married our best friend, Christy. Pat was the perfect addition. He was admirable, charming, inviting and just the best all around. Pat and his family are my family. I will miss him so.

Pat married my best friend & said "I knew when I married Christy, I married her friends too"  He did!
He had an amazing kindness & one always felt comfortable in his presence.
He just recently met my husband, Neal, & they immediately bonded.

Our office comprised of independent financial advisors dealt with Pat for 10+ years which were always professional, candid, and full of his witticisms!  If there was a request lagging in processing, Pat got the processing done.  If there was a request improperly processed, Pat made the correction.  If an issue was running amuck, Pat straightened out and defused the wreck with his sweet humor.  As a matter of fact, if anything went amiss, Pat set it right.  

Pat will be sorely missed.


When I started at TDA in 2016 as an RM, I sat right behind Pat McDaniel. He always had a way of explaining things gently and had such a calming tone. Then in 2018 I had the pleasure of work with him again as manager on Core East 3, and he was still providing the same consistant service - building rapport with advisors. He was such a kind soul, I never had the heart to ask him not to call me Abby, which was my name to him from the moment we ment. He will be deeply missed, especially in the CE3 family. Deepest condolences to his wife and family during this unimaginable time.

You will be missed my friend from TD. I usually talked to Pat everyday for the past 4 1/2 years. He was my Senior and go to person and fixed all my issues. We talked alot about Family, Football and his girls. Went through his heart attach and new teeth with him. I will truly miss him and sad I did not get to say goodbye to him. Thoughts and Prayers to his family that he loved very much.

Well there is so much I could say about Pat!!!  Pat was a great man and a great work colleague.  He always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell. Not a day went by that we did not have our daily round of taunting each  other. Pat would help you with anything you needed.  Pat always talked about how much he loved his wife and daughter's and how lucky he was. Pat(you old man)....I had to call him that or he would say I was not normal..  Pat you will be greatly missed. Prayers for the family now and in the days to come.
