Wayne L. Addington

He was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Paul and Edna Addington. He attended Poly High School and Texas Tech University before marrying Jan in 1968. Wayne worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 33 years as an Installation/Repair Technician. After his retirement in 2001, he joined the Texas Rangers Baseball Club and worked as a security guard for 21 years through their Championship Season. Wayne loved the Texas Rangers. He was a longtime member of Rolling Hills Country Club in Arlington where he enjoyed golf, playing dominos/gin, and hanging out with friends. Most of all, he was a loving and kind father, brother, grandfather, and friend.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jan, daughter Trina, sister Linda, grandson Cory, plus many other family and friends. Wayne is survived by his sons Craig Addington and wife Kathy, Jeff Roper and wife Darla, and Mark Addington; Sister Roberta Addington; Grandchildren Cassie, Brittney, Taylor, Megan, Chad, Josh, Brent, Alex and Austin; Great-Grandchildren Jadyn, Cason, and Natilyn; Plus many other family and friends.

A Private Burial will take place at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery. Celebration of Life will be held at St. Timothy Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 3001 Forest Ridge Dr., Bedford, Texas 76021, on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome.
