Warren Overton was born to the late Leon Overton Sr and Arlisha Overton on February 15, 1952 in Fort Worth - Lake Como, TX. At an early age he confessed Christ as his Lord & Savior at the Light House of Prayer in Fort Worth, TX.
Warren was a graduate of Como High School in 1971. He trained under Jewel Kelly, where he flourished in musicality and was granted a scholarship. Warren worked for the City of Fort Worth for six years before starting his journey as a truck driver. He owned and operated Wavah & Warren Trucking until his retirement in 2017.
Warren was loving, family-oriented, and a God-fearing man. On October 9, 2024, God called his son to return home. He is preceded in death by his (Father) Leon Overton Sr., (Mother) Arlisha Overton, (Sister) Bonnie Lee Crear, (Big Mama) Pastor Ethel Branch Newton, (Pawpaw) Pastor Elijah Newton, and many aunts and uncles.
Warren's precious memories will eternally linger in the hearts of his (Wife) Wavah Overton (Son) Tiwarren Crockett (Tiffany); (Daughter) Latasha Crockett; (Grandchildren) Brooklyn, Raven, Breanna, MyKayla, (Sisters) Rosie Daniels; Allisha Washington, Vera Allen (Rodney), (Brothers) Leon Overton Jr; Robert Overton (Ruby); Elmo Overton, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
