She was also a special “Boppy” to 6 great-grandchildren: David, Joshua, Olivia, Makayla, Madeline and Charlotte. Wanda was a loving and compassionate nurse. She worked for Harris Hospital for many years and later provided tender care to patients in nursing care facilities and private homes. She had a special gift for bringing joy into the lives of her patients. Wanda loved to sew and quilt and enjoyed other craft activities all throughout her life. Her grandchildren remember special blankets and quilts, cuddly pajamas, and creative costumes that their Boppy made with just them in mind. Her sewing room and ever present sewing basket are special memories. She had a heart for sharing her sewing talents with others and provided many blankets and quilts to Project Linus and other organizations. Wanda had a soft spot for her family pet dogs and Max was the latest three-pound dog to be “spoiled” by her love. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved them all very much.
