Mr. Goodwin was born May 24, 1945 in Beaumont, Texas to Walton James and Hattie (McCullough) Goodwin, Sr. He passed December 6, 2013 in Fort Worth, Texas. Walton was raised in First Baptist Church, Beaumont, Texas,where he made his profession of personal faith at age 12. He graduated from South Park High in 1963. In 2000, he moved his membership to Wedgwood Baptist in Fort Worth, Texas.
