FORT WORTH -- Walter W. Clower, 81, left this world to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, Aug. 15, 2011.
Funeral: 1 p.m. Thursday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Married to his lifelong love in 1949, the two of them raised two sons and every stray they dragged home, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He owned and ran a Premier service station on the corner of East Lancaster and Tierney Road for 22 years. A better husband, father, grandfather or great-grandfather never existed, and a great void now exists in the lives of everyone who knew him.
Survivors: Wife, Alta; sons, Eugene and Wayne; sister-in-law, Paula Nobile and her husband, Randy; granddaughter, Dana Winborne and husband, Jeremy; grandsons, Toby Clower and his wife, Kelly, and Patrick Clower; three great-grandchildren; three brothers; two sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
