Virginia Ray Pierce, of Fort Worth, TX was called home on July 22, 2017, just two days after her 95th birthday. Virginia was born to A.T. Smith and Florence Evelyn McLauchlin Smith on July 20, 1922, in Corsicana where she also graduated from high school. Following graduation, she attended Port Author College. Virginia built a career with Pierce Exxon and in her spare time loved to tend her rose garden and play bridge with friends. Virginia always enjoyed entertaining family and friends at her lake house and had a love for the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. She was a member of Southwest Christian Church
Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Pierce and her five sisters.
She is survived by son, Bobby Pierce. Granddaughters: Nicole Mashburn and her husband Colin, and Brittany Pierce. Great-grandchildren: Tyler, Callie and Reid.
Visitation: Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
Services: Monday; 10:00 am at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Burial following after in Laurel Land Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Cancer Society and Benbrook Relay for Life.
