Virgil M. Carter passed away Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015.
Celebration of life: Noon Saturday in the auditorium of Laneville High School in Laneville, the Rev. Kevin Dansby officiating. Interment: Dansby Memorial Cemetery. Visitation: Friends of Mr. Carter may visit him from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, with the family present 7 to 8 p.m., at Gregory W. Spencer Funeral Directors.
Survivors: Left with precious memories are his children, Tanyanla Session (Jackie), Orrin Carter, Lorrisa Harvey and Valerie Carter; brothers, Clyde Carter, Vernon Carter (Lacy), Dwight Carter (Ester), John Carter (Linda), Charles Carter (Felicia); sister, Brenda Deckard (J.D.); seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
