Life of Ms. Verdell Coleman
Verdell was born December 30, 1962, to the parents of Edgar Coleman and Bernice Waites-Coleman. She received her education in the Fort Worth Independent School District, graduating from Paul L. Dunbar, Class of 1982. After graduating, she attended the University of Texas at Arlington and Tarrant County Junior College. After two years of college, Verdell enlisted in the United States Navy, serving from 1984-1988. After an honorable discharge, Verdell began her career at the Polytechnic and Wedgewood Post Offices retiring on May 28, 2021.
Verdell will always be remembered as "the backbone " of her family, a loving mother, and a loyal friend. Her feisty personality and generosity will be greatly missed.
Verdell was preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Bernice Coleman and four brothers, James Coleman, Edgar Coleman, Lindsey Coleman, and Tony Guinn.
She leaves to cherish precious memories: World's best daughter, Lindsey Renea Coleman, two sisters, Sheila Coleman and Joyce Coleman-Alford (Clint), sister-in-law, Karen Jones, special nephew, Austin Coleman, devoted nieces Shalonda Bagley and Victoria Coleman, two granddogs, host of nephews, nieces, family, and friends.
