Vera J. Jackson

Vera was born in San Angelo, Texas on January 20th, 1948. She graduated from BlackShear High School and went on to meet the love of her life, Edmund "Eddie" Oliver Jackson. They were married on June 3rd, 1966.

Vera worked in customer service for Sears for 20 years. She was an active woman, and was involved in many groups and activities that brought her joy. She was a proud member of the Diamonds & Pearls Book Club, as well as TOPS and the San Metroplex Group. She was creative and would spend time crocheting, cooking and baking delicious cakes.

Above all, Vera was a thankful giver to those who needed it most in her life. She would help, feed & cloth anybody in need with no expectations of anything in return. She was a selfless and loving woman, full of joy and warmth.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Dwayne (Noriko) and Danny. Grandchildren, Christopher, Joseph, Catherine, Brooke, Michael and Kennedy, sisters Beverly (Louis) Weightman and Marjorie (Damon) Ambus, and brothers Gregory Gordon and Ronald Jackson, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Vera will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 9651 - Laurel Land FH - Ft Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134.

A funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 1063 E. Rosedale, Fort Worth, TX 76104.

A committal service will occur Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.
