Troy was born in Hugoton, Ka., on Sept. 13, 1956, to Sue McClure Brewer and Gary Eugene Brewer. He attended Moscow High School and the University of Oklahoma.
Mary was born in Camarillo, Calif., on April 16, 1952, to Verna Mank Sheldon and Clifford S. Sheldon. She attended Adolfo Camarillo High School, graduating in 1969, and then received her Bachelors in Nursing from Loma Linda University in 1975. Mary went on to get her Masters in Nursing.
Troy spend many years as a U.S. Marine fighter pilot. After retirement from the U.S. Marines, he worked as a pilot with American Airlines, flying multiple airplanes including the MD80 and Airbus 320.
Mary worked in nursing her entire career in many capacities including time in the U.S. Air Force Reserve as a flight nurse and teaching. Mary enjoyed traveling with her family and friends, photography and cooking. Mary was an active member of her church. Mary loved pets and always had at least one dog or cat or one of each.
Troy was predeceased by parents, Gary and Sue Brewer.
Mary was predeceased by parents, Verna and Clifford Sheldon.
Survivors: Troy and Mary are survived by three sons, Christopher Shawn, Celyn Connor and Carl Edward; brother to Troy and brother-in-law to Mary, Todd Brewer and wife, Anne, of Mesquite; sister-in-law to Troy and sister to Mary, Tiffany Boxum of Kansas; nieces, Kelsey, and Karlie Brewer of Mesquite; nephew, Kyle Brewer of Mesquite; and extended family from California, Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma. Mary is also survived by her "adopted" family, Betty, Richard, Julie, Erin, Serena and Shawn-Ann Speer.
