Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
He was born to the late James and Margaret Scott on Aug. 5, 1943, in Langley, S.C., and had lived in Kennedale since 1971.
Terry was a hardworking, loving husband and father, full of true grit and determination. He mastered many trades: mechanic, carpenter, stone mason, engineer, electrician, welder, plumber, heavy equipment operator and commercial truck driver, to name some. He was an artist inspired by his wife, Eva. He designed and built many things for her including the oak cabinetry in her kitchen for which he sketched a design, and frosted onto the glass doors with his sandblaster, and their magnificent fireplace he crafted of marble adorned with a red cedar mantel he formed from a raw cedar log, and the desk in their office that he designed, built and painstakingly finished over the last two years. He was a beekeeper; he loved taking care of his bees and giving the honey to friends. He loved baking German chocolate cakes, decorating them with pecans, and giving them away. He loved seeing his grandchildren grow.
Survivors: He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Eva Scott; children, Terry Scott Jr., Ronald Kennedy, Reta Hall, Sherri Murphy, Terri Anderholt and Carla Anglin; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann Wood and Mary Heidrick of Aiken, S.C.; and friends and family whom he loved dearly.
Arrangements under the direction of Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel & Cemetery, Fort Worth, TX.
