Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Burleson Church of Christ located at 1150 NW John Jones Dr. in Burleson, Texas. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Laurel Land on 7100 Crowley Rd. in Fort Worth, Texas.
Tamara was born on January 29, 1967 in Fort Worth. She was the youngest of 3 children born to Charles and Patricia Massey of Burleson. She lived in Burleson the early part of her life where she attended school and graduated from Burleson High School in 1985. After graduation, she attended The University of North Texas, where she earned a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education in 1990. Tamara began her career as a school teacher for the Burleson ISD, but she always had a passion for fitness. As she became more involved personally with workouts and various fitness classes, she realized her calling to be Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor. She touched so many lives during the next 8 years as she took on those roles, up until 1997 when she took on the role as a "Mom". After the birth of her first child, Hope, her passion turned to her wanting to be a Full-Time Mom. Over the next 5 years, Tamara brought into the world 2 more children, Hayden and Harrison, and she continued to be the most unbelievable Mother to her children that you could ever imagine. She loved the Lord, loved her Family, and she lived her life to the fullest each and every day. Tamara and her family enjoyed being active with camping, riding atvs, taking ski trips to Colorado, and just the love of being together as a Family. Besides fitness, one of her other great loves was her love for animals. Tamara spent countless days throughout her life helping animals. She was the one in the neighborhood that made sure that not only were animals cared for, but helped those that were lost find their way back home.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Charles Massey, along with her Grandparents and several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
