What an honor it is to have manifest in my life what Sterling sowed there. His walk with Jesus and spirit of servant hood truly continue to be an inspiration.  While Sterling's presence and peaceful demeanor will be missed, his legacy will continue in many of us going forward.  You have my thoughts and prayers.  Thanks for letting my family and me be a part of your lives.  We rejoice in Sterling "laying hold of" the fulfillment of God's promises regarding those who are His.

It was always special sharing your serene and peaceful demeanor during our conversations. Your love for The Lord and your stories about your miission trips always brought out the paasion in your eyes. Your wonderful way a treating your friends and family will always be etched in my heart. I have been blessed by being sandwiched between 2 great men of God with you and my father. I will truly miss you. Until we meet again.

To say that Sterling was soft-spoken might be a bit of an understatement, but his quiet composure to me revealed more than just his years. His gentleness was testimony to the strength of his faith and his unshakable trust in Jesus Christ who he served throughout his life here. He was a great example to me as I know he was to others during his years of service to the Lord. We can only thank Jesus for the opportunity to have known Sterling for the few years that we did and remember with fondness the example of a man of God that he was. I look forward to seeing him again when my graduation day comes. May God's peace, strength and provision be yours all of your days, Jackie, and his consolation be found in abundance. We love you.

Dear Jackie, I always took delight in watching you two sweethearts walk into church, arm in arm, always radiating the joy of the Lord, never missing an opportunity to pray with someone or encourage them.  My dad was especially fond of Sterling...I am sure they are having sweet fellowship together in Heaven.  My heart hurts with your heart as your husband was such a precious, precious gift to us--as are YOU.  I love you and pray for the Holy Spirit's comfort to envelop you, your children and grandchildren as you walk this out.

So where to begin, I would first say what a great man he honored God in everything he did. I can honestly say I have known this man and family almost my whole life. There so many great things I could say about this man, but so I dont right a book here I will just say a memory I have of him that has always stuck. My sister had past away and I remember staying with the Knight family they all comforted me, but I remember he hugged me and told me everything was going to be alright and that God had a plan. I felt very loved and comforted by his words. The Bible says that the meek shall inherit the earth and delight themselves in the abundance of peace. He truly was one of the peaceful and humble men i have ever met. I love you Jackie, Paul, Renata.. Your brother and Son in Christ..

Though I never had the privilege of meeting your father, Sterling...  You carry, with you, a deep and passionate caring and love for people and for God.  To hear the story, as you describe your father, and your mom's connection to him and prayers over him... I know there is peace in knowing that he is with our Lord in Heaven.

What a privilege to be married to Sterling's son, who is growing more and more like his father every day. What a legacy to pass on, now to my sons also.

A man who loved The Lord and his family. So thankful to have known him.

His kind & loving demeanor will never be forgotten. It was an honor knowing him.

It was an honor to be friends with Sterling over the past couple of years. I grew to love and respect him for the man of God he is.  

I rejoice to know this truth, Sterling is dancing in heaven with Jesus and rejoicing that the race is over and his reward is no doubt a great reward.

Our hearts rejoice that Sterling is with his precious Savior, and we pray God will comfort those left behind.  Sterling was a blessing to our whole family!
