Ronny Earl Shaw, 79 years old, with his family by his side, peacefully entered Heaven on December 25, 2020 and was reunited with his daughter, Julie and grandson, Isaac. Ronny was born on September 20, 1941 in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was a wonderful Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, and he proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Ronny was the wonderful father of two daughters, Laura King and husband Jeff, and Stefanie Everitt. He was the grandfather of Austin Everitt and wife Chelsea, Brittany Barioli and husband Raffaele, Audrey King and husband Josiah, Jeff King and wife Katherine, Cody King, Hannah King, Adam Everitt, Wyatt King, Ashton Everitt, Will King, and Jed King. And his pride and joy were his great-grandkids Leland King, Malakai King, Norah King, Santino Barioli, Christiano Barioli, Asa Jost, Olivia Jost, Eden Jost and Sawyer Everitt.
Ronny worked in the construction industry for almost 50 years. During this time, he spent hours and hours coaching his daughters’ softball teams. All the players loved him and they are thankful that he taught them how not to “throw like a girl.” Ronny especially loved watching his grandsons play sports and attended every football and baseball game. He was the most faithful and loudest fan. He loved fishing and spent many early mornings catching striper and bass, and won several fishing tournaments. His love of these things was second only to his love for his family.
His pulmonologist, who treated him like her own father for 17 years, said it best, “He always had a smile on his face, no matter what. He was such a wonderful person. You will see him again. I truly mean when I say he was my all time favorite patient and he will always hold a special place in my heart.”
Ronny will be lovingly remembered for his strong political views, his funny sense of humor, and the immense love and pride he had for his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
