Ronald G. Smith Sr.
“Big Foot” was born to George and Joan Smith, on January 10, 1966, in Chicago, Illinois, the eldest of twin boys.
He graduated from Bowen High School in 1984 and afterwards served in the US Navy. Big Foot was a dedicated employee of Fort Worth ISD transportation for 18 years. He laughed and joked daily with
his co-workers and made sure everyone was in good spirits. Big Foot has been feeding the homeless for over 20 years in Fort Worth. He was a mentor and inspiration to many, young and old. Where ever he went Big Foot was in a suit, and always ready to share a smile and some encouraging words.
Big Foot worked several years as a modeling coach for Elroy Roberts Production. He was apart of Personal Touch Social Club from 2008 ‘til 2014, serving as VP and business manager until the club’s end.
In 2019, he married Christina and has been making memories with his family since. Big Foot enjoyed dancing, telling jokes, cooking and most of all recruiting people to come out and be a part of his ministry, Big Foot Little Foot. God called His servant home on Sunday, July 16, 2023. Big Foot is preceded in death by his father George Smith and his stepson James Johnson III. Left to cherish Big Foot’s memories are his wife Christina, son Ronald Jr., stepchildren Mariah, Lazette (Andre) and Jaylon, granddaughter Saniyah; brother Donald (Tammy); his best friends Chuck and Anthony; his loving Straightway Christian Church family, extended family from John’s Place, The Lot and a host of car clubs along with Fort Worth Homeless Community.
