Ronald Wayne Selby passed away peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2022 in Fort Worth with his family by his side. Ronald was born on December 1, 1944 in Corsicana, Texas to Rufus Wayne and Flora Alene Whitfield Selby, and graduated from Trimble Technical HIgh School in 1963.
He was a diesel mechanic and a Reserve Marine. He worked for both General Motors and Jack Cooper Transport. Ronald enjoyed being with his family, cooking on the grill for them and traveling.
He is survived by son, Ronald D. Selby and his wife Tresa, son Jerry D. Selby and his wife Stacey and daughter Julie D. Griffith and her husband Michael, grandsons Devin, Travis, and Noah, granddaughters Chasey and Hannah, and seven great-grandchildren; Wesley, Rowan, Walker, Rhys, Lilith, Beatrice and Atlas, sister Helen Sue Forbes, and brothers Steven Selby, Melvin Selby, and Sterling Selby as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon D. Selby; his granddaughter, Shandi Lynn Selby; his parents; and brothers, Jack Selby and Bobby Selby.
There will be a gathering at the home of his son Jerry, on Saturday August 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM, 501 Curtis Road, Burleson, Texas 76028.
