Brenda, I just came across this and I am so sorry to hear of your loss. A parent should never have to bury their child. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

October 11, 2011.......My Darling Precious Son...Rodney, Today you have been gone from us for 42 Weeks and 1 Day. Today is your beautiful wifes birthday. I have not been able until now to write this. I'm too broken, but now I want to say this. Thank you so very much, to all who wrote in Rodney's Guest Book and sent condolences.
There are no words to express the profound loss all of us feel. I know you knew Rodney how very, very much we all love you. You are the most precious, loving, caring, kind, gentle human being I have ever known. I was blessed from God to have been your Mother. I told you a trillion times or probably more my deep, deep love for you. This love for you will remain forever in my heart and all persons heart's who truly love you.
I hate the terrible disease that you had to endure during your life here on earth. I hate the disease which took you from all of us. Just to think what all you went through torments me.
You were the most wonderful child, teenager, young man, then grown man there is. You are the best son,  brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, husband, father, uncle this earth has ever known.
My heart cries out for you, as I know all your love ones heart's do. We miss you Baby! We always will. I miss the precious love you always gave to me.
You are my beautiful, handsome, loving, precious son. I was always so very proud of you and forever will be so very proud of you. 
There will never be a day go by for the rest of my life that I don't grieve for you. (God and Jesus) - what a wonderful, special, unique, awesome, funny, terrific person you gave to us in Rodney. How can we ever get through the loss of him??? I know I can't.

The only answer I get from God on why, why, why we had to lose Rodney is, God told me Rodney had suffered entirely enough here on this earth and it was time for him to come home and get the peace he so very much deserved.
Rodney, baby rest in abundant love and pure peace in heaven. Rejoice in your reunion with previously deceased love ones. I know you are there in heaven baby. I just know it!
God and Jesus please, please take care of my baby...

Wow! I was just trying to find old friends on Facebook, Rodney being one of them, when I saw Dale Brooks profile picture of Rodney.  I am saddened knowing another friend has passed away.  The memories come like a flood, especially the tackle football games we had at Stonegate Elementary as kids.  May God surround your family with His arms of love and encouragment, and may family and friends be a shoulder to cry on, to laugh with, and to remember and celebrate with the Rodney you knew. I had the pleasure of working with Rod for several years.  He was a bright respectful professional who loved his family.  He will be greatly missed.  My prayers are with you Brenda and your entire family.

Brenda my heart breaks for you and your family. I regret that I didn't get to know Rodney in our adult life, but I will cherish the fun times we had when I would visit dad. He brought the tom-boy out in me by teaching me how to build little dirt roads for our hot wheels and the art of catching a football. You are in my heart and prayers...Love You

Brenda,I can't imagine your pain. this was a bad year for all of us but were from a family of long time doers we do what we are called on to do and some how we move on, theirs nothing stronger than a real  loving family reach out and surround your self with the family you created this love will be your strength, I think of you often stay strong.

I will remember all the fun we had at get togethers and family reunions. I have not seen Rodney since we were teenagers and my grief is deep and best described by a song written and sang by Rascal Flatts entitled "WHY" because i do not understand such a precious loss.

Rod, Stoneface here, from Stonegate through LD Bell we had some great times.  New Year's Eve and ZZ Top was the best.  I've thought of you often; sorry I never contacted you.  Rest in Peace and may God Bless and console your wonderful family during this trying time.

I just can't explain the shock I have with receiving this news today.  I have been trying to track Rod down for some time.  We were next door neighbors for many years.  I will always cherish the memories, the games, hunting trips, and campouts.  Rod you will be truly missed.  My prayers to his family and friends at this difficult time.

No words can possible console all of us. We all have such wonderful memories of our times with Rod, That is what we have to hold on to. He was a sweet sweet gentle soul so full of love & life.Rod may you rest in peace & no longer be tormented by a horrible, horrible disease. You know how much I loved you.

Don and I and our son, Ian, are heartbroken with the sudden loss of a dear friend.  Rod meant so much to Don.  Ian included Rod in his prayer last night.  I am praying for you all.  He was a great guy and will be deeply missed by many more than you know.
