Robert Stanley Jones Sr.

Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Monday at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.

Robert Stanley Jones Sr. was the son of Gerald Grey Jones and Lavern Adair Jones. Robert was born in Sweetwater, and his family moved to Rotan when he was about 6 months old. In 1947 he and his family moved to Fort Worth and then to Aledo in 1968. He worked at General Dynamics in Fort Worth from May 4, 1948, until his retirement on Oct. 31, 1991. Robert was a member of the Parker County Cowboy Church of Aledo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janet Frances Fuller Jones; his grandson, Gary Wayne Pittman Jr.; and son-in-law, Ronald Edward Jones.

Survivors: Daughter, Frances Kay Jones of Fort Worth; son, Robert Stanley Jones Jr. and wife, Perla, of Fort Worth; daughter, Katherine Jones Garvey of Fort Worth; son, Tommy Ray Jones and wife, Marilyn, of Aledo; 10 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
