Richard made his living as a carpenter and enjoyed woodworking, fishing and listening to music.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, David Burns, Micheal Burns, and Steven Burns.
He is survived by his wife Martha Sue Burns; daughters, Margret Marie Ward and her husband Paul Ward, Sue Ann Rivera and her husband Jose Rivera, Karen Malmberg and husband John Malmberg, Pam Pepperdine and her husband Ron Bennett, his son Robert Pepperdine and wife Rosemary Pepperdine as well as 8 grandchildren Rowdy, Brandon, Lauren, Stephani, Ashlee, Leah, Brendan, Derian and 8 great grandchildren
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, December 6, at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, December 7, at 2:00, also at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel.
