Richie was born May 16, 1937 in Raton, New Mexico to Maynard and Norma McNeely. She was raised in Oklahoma, then relocated to her true home here in Fort Worth, Texas. Richie met her soulmate Harold “Chris” Christian in 1953, just before he left on a 2-year US Army tour of service in Okinawa, Japan.
After graduating from Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth, Richie and Chris were married on Feb. 24, 1955.
They raised five children; Belva, Thomas, Tim, Russell, and Colin. Richie operated a beauty salon, along side her husband at Chris’ Barber Shop, for over 20 years. She enjoyed her work and the relationships that she built with her patrons, but mostly relished being with her devoted and loving husband on a daily basis. While attending Rolling Hills and Hallmark Baptist for almost 50 years, she loved the small gatherings, sightseeing trips with the church senior citizen group, and volunteer work. Richie followed Christ and enjoyed showing God’s love through her many kind words and giving heart.
Richie was preceded in death by her mother Norma Mauldin and father Maynard McNeely, sister Belva Jean and brother “Sonny” McNeely.

We will always carry your wonderful memories in our hearts -
“God looked around his garden and found an empty space.
Then he looked down upon this earth and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
